Well on your way
+++++++++++++++++++
Keep your eyes on the goal and your feet on the path. Let the long-term consequences of your efforts encourage you forward as you give your focus to the task at hand.
Any achievement is within your reach because the next step is always accessible to you. You can take that step any time you decide to do so.
And when you do, the step after that is suddenly there for you to choose. By putting one foot in front of the other, the once-distant goal grows closer and closer.
Yes, it will take sustained effort and commitment. And yes, you are fully capable of doing whatever it takes.
Your dreams are longing for you to bring them to life. And the process of doing so will indeed bring you more fully to life.
You can do it, in this very moment, and in the next, and in the next. Set your sights high and keep moving, for you’re already well on your way.
Ralph Marston
Quick Thought:
“Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, and fully repays the proud person. Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the LORD.” Psalm 31:23-24 (NKJ)
Luke 18:9-14
“And He (Jesus) also told this parable to certain ones who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee, and the other a tax-gatherer.”
“The Pharisee stood and was praying thus to himself, ‘God, I thank Thee that I am not like other people: swindlers, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax-gatherer. ‘I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’”
“But the tax-gatherer, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’”
“I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself shall be humbled, but he who humbles himself shall be exalted.” Luke 18:9-14 (NAS)
John 16:1-11
“These things I have spoken to you, that you may be kept from stumbling. They will make you outcasts from the synagogue, but an hour is coming for everyone who kills you to think that he is offering service to God. And these things they will do, because they have not known the Father, or Me.”
“But these things I have spoken to you, that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you.”
“But now I am going to Him who sent Me; and none of you asks Me, ‘Where are You going?’ But because I have said these things to you, sorrow has filled your heart. But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper shall not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.”
“And He (the Helper), when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin, and righteousness, and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father, and you no longer behold Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.” John 16:1-11 (NAS)
